What is a
hose coupling?

A hose coupling or fitting is a metal part necessary to connect a hose to another system device (nozzles, valves, etc.) or supply point (hydrant, machine, air compressor, etc.). With the coupling we achieve the optimal sealing and union between the hose and the element to which they are connected.

The fittings offer us a reliable and durable connection between the components of the installation.

What type of coupling do exist?

We can find various types of couplings in the industry depending on the type of connection or the application for which they are intended. The main exponents are:

Quick connectors. Our quick brass couplings are the ones that require a simple operator operation for the connection and disconnection of the hose with another element of the system. Intended for those applications that require continuous disconnection of the elements. The most common in irrigation and urban maintenance are the following.
Compression ring couplings (double cone type): They are mainly used for a reliable fixed union for fluids that work up to high pressures. With its tightening system formed by a nut and a double compression cone ring, we achieve a reliable and fast adjustment, by using a tightening wrench, to tubes of different materials, both plastic and metallic.
Threaded couplings: Easily removable with the help of a wrench. Indicated for low pressures and few exchanges, generally with the help of a wrench.

In such a case, check beforehand that there is enough space around the fitting to be able to remove it.
